Top McCain adviser Carly Fiorina recently stated the obvious when she said that sarah Palin could not run a business. When this was somehow taken up as a controversial statement, she explained that she did not mean anything by it; obviously John McCain couldn’t either. Somehow this too was taken as controversial. Even her protestation that in working in the Republican camp it was her impression that no politician, including Obama and Biden, could run a business. In other circumstances that might have been viewed as controversial but that controversy seems to have been swallowed by the earlier ones.
I cannot understand the broo-haha here. Would you put someone in charge of a company who looks across the Bering Sea, thinking that she is seeing the Ukrane, believes herself to have developed an understanding of Moscow on the other side of the world? Think of the vastness of her knowledge if she walked through a library.
It is hard to see McCain in charge of a business or anything involving a finacial system. Easier to see him on the deck of the Titanic saying “there’s no problem, whiners!”
